The Department of Defense and the Military Health System (MHS) announced the selection of George Peach Taylor Jr. M.D., as the new deputy assistant secretary of defense (DASD) for Force Health Protection and Readiness (FHP&R).

 


 

Pete Stoneberg is the newly appointed deputy CIO at RightNow.

 


 

Matthew C. Flavin has been appointed to the Senior Executive Service and is assigned as special assistant to the deputy secretary of defense, Offi ce of the Secretary of Defense. Flavin previously served as director of veterans and wounded warrior policy, the White House, Washington, D.C.

 


Reserve Rear Admiral (lower half) Donald R. Gintzig, who has been selected for promotion to rear admiral, will be assigned as deputy chief, medical operations, M3/5, Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, Washington, D.C. Gintzig is currently serving as deputy commander Navy Medicine West, San Diego.

 


 

Colonel Jamie B. Grimes, U.S. Army, MC has succeeded Colonel Michael S. Jaffee, U.S. Air Force, MC as the new national director of the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC). Grimes came to DVBIC headquarters from San Antonio, Texas, where since 2007, she was the DVBIC site director at Wilford Hall Medical Center and Brooke Army Medical Center, now combined as the San Antonio Military Medical Center. ♦
