Rocky Cintron
President and CEO
Force 3

For more than 20 years, Rocky Cintron has been a leader in the information technology industry. He formed Force 3 Inc. in 1991 and under his leadership Force 3 has been ranked in the Washington Technology Fast 50 for the past five years, twice named to the Inc. 500 fastest growing private companies and named one of the top 100 federal prime contractors in the country.

Q: How long have you been supporting the federal government with IT products and solutions?

A: I’m very proud of our track record with the federal government. Over the past 15 years, Force 3 has grown to be a leading IT solutions integrator, deploying and supporting the latest products along with implementation services to the ever-changing needs of the federal government. We’ve successfully designed or upgraded the networks of more than 140 military medical treatment facilities around the world. And, we’re a Cisco Gold and Healthcare Select Partner specialized in implementing solutions that hospitals need. In short, we’ve solved a lot of problems over the years by improving patient care.

Q: How have you managed the incredible growth Force 3 has experienced over the past couple of years?

A: Well, you can’t do it alone. First and foremost you have to have great people. I’ve been very lucky, in that we’ve been able to attract some of the best talent in the industry. I think they recognize that this is an exciting place to work because of our fast growth, but more importantly, that we’ll continue to invest in them whether it’s ensuring they receive the highest level of certification or simply providing them with the material means to support peak performance. A great example of our commitment to meet the demands associated with the kind of growth we’re experiencing is our new 35,000 square foot state-of-the-art headquarters that includes a customer briefing center, an integrated configuration and engineering training lab, and a 150 person training room. It even has a fitness center.

Q: How has Force 3 earned the confidence of the federal health sector?

A: We’d like to think that we’ve brought confidence back to the health care technology marketplace. We recognize and understand the critical importance of a military hospital’s entire network, and the complexities involved in developing, supporting and maintaining its technology infrastructure.

Their primary focus is on the rising demand for improving patient safety and enhancing the quality of patient care and we address these challenges by providing solutions that enable the delivery of realtime patient data where it is most needed, at the point of care. By empowering caregivers with pointof- care solutions, caregivers spend less time managing information and more time treating patients.

Another confidence builder is the fact that Force 3 is a Cisco Healthcare Vertical Select Partner which is designed to identify and enable partners who have a focused business practice in specific vertical industries. We work closely with Cisco to understand the needs and business challenges of the federal health care marketplace and we’re uniquely positioned to successfully deliver advanced health care technology solutions and services to meet those needs.

Q: What are your goals for the next five years?

A: I’m a big sports fan and I’m always at awe when I look back at the great sports dynasties of our time. UCLA winning all those national championships, the Lakers, the Yankees, and my personal favorite, the Steel Curtain dynasty of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1970s. They were all driven by the same thing, the coaches and players all believed in what they were doing. They shared a common goal to continually look inside themselves to identify where they could improve. And management continued to invest in the franchise to reward them and insure their success.

The next five years will bring dramatic changes to the field of information technology. At Force 3, we’re embracing those changes because we’re uniquely positioned to meet them head on. We’ll continue to recruit the very best people and invest heavily to insure they receive the highest possible training and certifications to meet the changing needs of the federal health care field. At the end of the day, we all know that lives depend on the quality of work we provide our clients and that’s what motivates us to perform at the highest possible standard. ♦
